It would have been nice to be able to grab a drink along the way. We heard bad things about the food and weren't hungry on the island anyway. The Mickey and submarine were too far out for our 6 year old nephew to make. Cast Away is a 2000 American survival drama film directed and produced by Robert Zemeckis and starring Tom Hanks, Helen Hunt, and Nick Searcy.Hanks plays a FedEx troubleshooter stranded on an uninhabited island after his plane crashes in the South Pacific, and the plot focuses on his desperate attempts to survive and return home. We found out later that there was another place to go where you could see more. We only went snorkeling by the family beach with my niece and nephews. I wish that the snorkeling was a little more marked. We then headed to the family beach to do some snorkeling. Only 4 of us in the water and my husband and I pulled someone out. The adults headed to Serenity Bay and hung out there for about an hour. Took a quick shower, ate with my family, and then we headed back to Castaway. I didn't get done and back to the ship until 10:15. There were no mile markers either, so that was a bit of a disappointment. It was fun, but walking over a mile to the start line seemed to kill the point. I'd read a lot of reviews about the 5K Disney does the morning you arrive. This was our first time on a Disney Cruise and our first time to Castaway Cay. Overall the island and the cruise were not an experience we loved. We felt this is only an extension of the parks but the difference would be that this island lacks infrastructure and lots of Disney's imagination. The things our kids enjoyed the most were the slides and playing tether ball by the cabanas. We enjoyed this activity, but being "Disney" and having money to invest, this trail should be overlooking the ocean. The bike trail is nice, but you only get to see the ocean once. In the private Island of Disney you can practice a lot of sports, like swimming, climbing, cycling and snorkling. Lunch time is from 11:30 to 2:00pm, the barbecue is only average. place where you can relax after a few days in the Disney Cruise Line. The cabanas are nice and they offer you drinks (non alcoholic), towels, sunblock and bikes for your family.
It's a sand bar which is nice, especially if you have very young kids, however there were tiny rocks everywhere, and in front of our cabana the beach was full of seaweed. We found the beach to be nothing special, it's only ok and you can tell it's totally man made. The island does have a lot of space to fit all guests though. If you can't rent one, you'll have to find yourself a sitting area.
The price of the cabana at this time was $550 for the day. Do it well in advance because there are only 22 of them. We rented a cabana which I highly recommend. * The Premium Pack is simply bonus content, and does not effect the end-game or story line, so please do not base your rating on this.We are a family of 6, with four kids of all ages.
